Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information you include, and is used to answer the message.
Automatic Technical Information
Hosting systems may record routine log data such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review this in summary form to operate and improve the service. Cookies or related tools can support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to run the service, solve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Their own privacy terms govern information provided after leaving this service. That includes sponsored search results supplied by a separate provider.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask about personal data this service holds by using the Contact page. Because we retain very little, a request normally concerns a contact message or routine logs. Public records held by North Carolina, Wake County, or Morrisville custodians are outside our control, and a correction or access request must go to the office that keeps the record. North Carolina Public Records Law, Chapter 132, governs access to existing government records; it does not require a public body to create a new record. Address Confidentiality Program protections under Chapter 15C remain separate from this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
